Each year Assistance League, a national, volunteer, nonprofit organization more than 100 years old, enhances the lives of more than 1.2 million families, children, and adults in need.
Through a commitment of hands-on action, more than 26,000 volunteer members in 122 chapters fund and staff philanthropic programs in local communities.

The Atlanta Chapter has over 250 members who help children and adults in need rebuild their lives. In 2008-2009, Assistance League members donated more than 53,000 hours through six philanthopic programs to provide:

More than 80 percent of Assistance League's funding in Atlanta comes from the sale of donated goods in our Attic Treasures Thrift Shop located across from the post office on Antique Row in Chamblee, Georgia. Cash contributions, in-kind gifts, member dues, and grants also provide support for Assistance League programs. Assistance League consistently returns over 75 percent of its income to the local community and has no paid employees. We welcome your assistance and support.
